Garage Door Remote Not Working?

We have all had this happen where you go and push your remote and nothing happens. There are a few easy things you can do prior to calling a service Tech to come out and fix it.

The first thing thing you will want to check is the battery and terminals. If it has been awhile since you have replaced your battery that is probably going to be the problem. While you are doing that make sure to check for corrosion on the terminals it will be a bluish green color if it is present. If there is any there you will need to clean the terminals before putting your new battery back in. When placing the new battery in make sure the terminals are fitting tightly against the battery otherwise the remote may not work or only work intermittently.

Once you have done all of that and the  remote is still not working you will need to try and reprogram the remote it may of lost its code. Depending on the model and style of your operator will depend on the programing instructions, your owners manual will have instructions for your specific model. If you can not find your manual you can always call us and we can walk you through it.
