Garage Door Service doesn’t stop because of the weather.

Oh the weather outside is frightful, well not just quite yet, but it seems to be just around the corner. As I look out my window staring up at Mendon Mountain my thoughts drift from the garage door business to some winter fun.

Spending a good amount of my career in sunny South Carolina I have come to appreciate the change in the seasons. Fall being my most favorite time of year but a close second is winter. Winter does come with it’s challenges like driving in the snow, shoveling the snow, trudging through the snow and so on. It also brings things like sledding with the family, skiing and snowboarding and hot chocolate on those cold weekend days. There’s nothing quite like coming in from the snow, taking off your sopping wet gloves and laying them on the heater to dry while the pot boils on the stove in preparation for the inevitable burning of the roof of your mouth because you just can’t wait for that hot chocolate (with mini marshmallows) to cool off enough to actual drink.

On any particular winter day here at Overhead Door of Rutland we deal with the snow too. Right now our service trucks are getting prepared for winter driving adding some extra weight and changing the tires over to those better suited for the extra traction needed.

We work through the winter and have been doing it for decades. A little snow doesn’t deter our techs from getting to their jobs and helping the great customers in our little corner of the state. Your garage door needs to work 24/7 – 365 and although we don’t work around the clock we do work extended hours to make sure that when you need us we’re available.

The colder temperatures don’t stop us from installing new garage doors either. It only takes our teams a few extra minutes to do their work in the cold. Spring – Summer – Winter – Fall we are out there fixing, adjusting, and installing.

This winter when you’re gazing out your window watching the light fluffy stuff fall from the skies keep your eyes peeled for the hunter green trucks with the Big Red Ribbons on them because they’ll be out there.
